National List of Allowed and Prohibited Substances (NOP)
This list identifies synthetic substances that may be used, and the nonsynthetic substances that cannot be used, in organic production and handling operations. This list is established by the Secretary of Agriculture as required by the Organic Foods Production Act of 1990.
OMRI - Organic Materials Review Institute
The Organic Materials Review Institute (OMRI) is a national nonprofit organization that determines which input products are allowed for use in organic production and processing. OMRI Listed—or approved—products may be used on operations that are certified organic under the USDA National Organic Program.
The OMRI Products List is a directory of all products OMRI has determined are allowed for use in organic production, processing, and handling.

Earth Policy Institute
The goal of the Earth Policy Institute is to raise public awareness
to the threats posed by continuing population growth, rising CO2
emissions, the loss of plant and animal species, and the many other
trends that are adversely affecting the Earth. The dissemination
of information from the Institute is designed to help set the public
agenda.
